This is the worst pressure booster money can buy, They only last the life of the warranty, I went through 2 of them in 5 years, first I had 1/2 hp ( a little over $ 1000 ) after 2 years it stopped pumping and couldn't find a repair kit for the pump so I brought a 3/4 hp one ( over $ 1500 ) thinking it will do better which it did last 2 and half years and can't find repair kit. Steer away from this brand I gave a thumb down for the pump not the plumber .

Really glad to see this study done with thermal diffusion. Casting has the same properties as welding and powdered metals, something thermal diffused properties improve a great deal. Thank you for sharing.

I have a slow drip leaky around the bottom of section between pump body and motor. It drips more when under pressure. Will new o-ring fix the leaky issue? The pump model is Berkeley 5SN. We are using it at off the grid cabin to pull water from the tank outside.

What about thermal expansion from the hot water tank when it's heating up? Once you installed your booster system your house becomes a closed system

Might be 5 mins quicker but the fittings are cray expensive, the tools are not reliable and I don’t care what the manufacturers claim… a rubber o ring will not last as long as a soldered joint
